Foster Care Youth Scholarship Program

Are you/were you in the RI Foster Care System? If so, our Foster Care Youth Scholarship Program may be right for you. If you are accepted – your tuition and fees and room and board will be fully covered. We're working hard to remove higher education financial barriers for Rhode Island's foster care youth!

Rhode Island College is an exclusive member of the Common Application. Students interested in transferring to Rhode Island College from another college or university may complete the application here.

Transfer Student Admissions Process

Applying to Transfer from Another College/University?

Please Submit

  • a completed Common Application and nonrefundable $50 application fee
    Please Note: Recommender forms included in the Common Application are not required. Simply request an offline form in this section to skip. An essay is optional.
  • official transcripts from all college(s) attended
  • transfer students with under 24 college credits must submit an official copy of their final high school transcript

Transfer applications will be reviewed when all transcripts are received. Decisions for transfer students are based on their college-level academic record.

Transfer students must have earned at least a 2.0 GPA with 24 or more earned college credits in a diversified program of study.
